The HIVE UAS Tech Accelerator in Grand Forks, ND
Support
Funding
Private, local, state, and federal funding are accessible here in Grand Forks and North Dakota. The HIVE itself received a federal grant for $1.1M from the US Commerce Department Economic Development Administration to create this exceptional hybrid UAS technology accelerator and incubator matched by the City of Grand Forks.
Private funding can take many forms including financial institutions, private equity, and investment groups, including those located here in Grand Forks.
Local funding can be found through programs such as the Growth Fund and other economic development based grant and loan programs.
State funding can take the shape of both grant and loans (like the LIFT fund) from our engaged Commerce Department or Department of Transportation, and legislative intent through bill passage. Team Grand Forks, as we like to call our collective, has a strong presence at the State Capital every biennium.
Our congressional delegation, US Air Force Base, and community UAS leadership work closely together to support Federal funding missions.
